You can turn them on and off which is really convenient. Other benefits: They are not visible when the cabinets are closed, and they keep the cabinet completely closed so if baby tries to pull them open there is no banging noise or risk of trapped fingers.</p> <p>The magnet is pretty sensitive so it takes me a minute to get them open. You really have to find precisely the right spot.
