After that I pinned everything that had to do with super heroes on pinterest. The room isn't too "theme-y", so we can easily change it up as he gets older. I didn't want anything with a "theme" - no characters or anything. I just started picking things I liked, and made an inspiration board. We used all modern patterns. If you want to buy a bedding set with matching accessories, start there first or else nothing will match. I chose my own fabric patterns instead. It ended up being all the right colors with just a touch of Dino. They kind of morphed! I liked grey and yellow but wanted to add a different color for a big pop accent color. So I decided to add green. Then once I decided on green accents I thought of Peter Pan. We knew if we had a girl we'd reuse our wedding decor (birds/vintage) and when we found out it was a boy we did owls instead since it was still birds. Now that he's a toddler I'm going to change gears and do more of a map/explorer theme. Offer has been accepted so we're in the scary part where we hope everything will go smoothly. Right now, we're in a one bedroom condo so we never had to think about decorating a nursery. Now that's all I can think about!!! However, I'm so overwhelmed by my choices/options. How did you come up with your nursery? All I know for now is that we'll be using dark/espresso furniture. I'm guessing we'll do something with blues since the room we'll be calling his is already painted blue. Where did you find your inspiration?
