I have had the itch come and go the entire 4 years. I would love more adult interaction but I just cannot see myself being happy with my son in daycare. I love my job (most days) and the feeling of accomplishment, independence and use. I'm not saying SAHMs don't feel this, but my job gave me that. We made my leave last a few months longer than I had initially planned, but that was because the negotiations with my return position took a little longer than I anticipated originally. </p> <p>We could probably make it work with me staying home (or my husband), but I guess we're kind of ambitious and greedy. There's a lot of things we want and we need to work toward, so that was a big driver for me wanting to go back to work.</p> <p>If I hadn't planned on going back quickly, probably around 4 months I would have decided it was time to start looking for something. I was getting bored with staying home all the time, playing house by then.
