LOL!!!

I'm trying to rock it. I'm still in this stage too (16 weeks) and it's extra frustrating because when I have DS with me I think people just automatically assume that I just have stomach fat since he's still only 8 months old. Oh well! Hopefully the bump will pop soon :)

@mrskc: same haha

Instead of flowy, I just did tight and *ruched*. A ruched t-shirt with skinnies?
I did flowy at the end when my belly button popped out and I had love handles!

I rocked it from about 9 weeks! I found that full panel maternity jeans made my flab look like a full baby belly so I teemed them with a tight top and rubbed my tummy a lot!

i just did flowy tops, loose button down tops (like those chambray tops), anything with a flowy cardigan, dresses help, too!

@mrskc: Ha, totally this. I was always touching my belly, sometimes subconsciously and sometimes in an it's-baby-not-chub way.

Ugh. Such an awkward stage. Most of my clothes are form fitting so I had a rough time. Mostly wore what flowy tops I could scrounge out of my closet, wore lots of cardigans & dresses.

I waited until 13 weeks to announce and I remember around 10/11 weeks is when I started getting the magically disappearing and reappearing baby bump based on how bloated I was that day. So at that point I stuck with flowy tops and did the rubberband trick with my pants as needed. I definitely didn't look pregnant at all as long as I wore a slightly looser top.

I didn't start rocking the bump until about 20 weeks because I was too small for maternity clothes but too big for my regular clothes. I continued with the flowy top/wearing a size up in regular clothes transition period until then. Oh man did I hate that stage! Every day was a challenge, especially since I work outside the home.

I am in that stage right now (15 weeks) and I am just rocking it. My husband insists that I wear tighter clothes to show off my belly (I usually try to hide it under baggy clothes) so I have been wearing tighter T-shirts and looking like I have a beer belly.
Lol, the secret is out and everyone knows I am pregnant now, so no one except strangers actually think I have a beer belly. Everyone else knows it's baby. :)

I'm 9w and already pulled out my old "fat pants" from when I was heavier. All my weight gain has been in my boobs and stomach, so I'm with MrsKC and rocking it and putting my hand on my stomach a lot. I have seen a shirt online that says "there's a baby in there, not an extra meal," which I plan on buying very soon. I'll probably get an "I love my bump" one as soon as I start actually showing, even if it's still a bit tiny to be a real "bump."

I just tried to wear whatever fit. I've been living in yoga pants when I'm home. I think it's easier as a SAHM since I don't have to worry about getting ready to leave the house as often.

I say rock it! I hated that in between stage though. I didn't care and just wore tight fitting tops anyways. I would hold my belly in hopes people would get the idea that I was pregnant.

we haven't shared the news with most people yet (and particularly with work!) so i'm rocking the baggier clothes. I'm sure everything just thinks i've been eating my weight in food lately ;) i can't wait till this phase is over!

I totally kept wearing fitted items. I didn't really have a lot of flowy type stuff so I just tried to rock it.

Flowy tops with my pants unbuttoned. I bought a pair of maternity jeans with a half panel thing early on. They'd be pretty tight now, I think, but they were perfect from 10 weeks through the upper 20s-- and now it's hot enough that I don't want to wear jeans.

I always carry weight in my middle, so most of my tops were already looser in the middle and kind of long. I wasn't a fan of that stage though-- as soon as it was a bump I wore more ruched mat tops.

Oh and lots of open cardigans. Hide the muffin top.

When you were in that awkward starting to show phase but the bump isn't big enough to look like baby, it just looks like fat? Did you try to rock the bump anyway or did you still with flowy tops to hide it?

I'm there :( I'm sick of hiding it because as this is my second baby, I got there early and had to hide it before I hit 12 weeks and wanted people to know. So now I just let the "bump" if you can call it that, hang out.
