My brother had to do the boys bathroom, so his job was worse since these were toddlers whose aim wasn't so great.</p> <p>Also my mom is super detail oriented and she'd come do inspection when we were finished and would make us redo anything that wasn't perfect. So at age 10 I set off to get those £thousands. I washed glasses and stacked bottles in my nanna's pub and did the upstairs chores plus cooking. And helped in my aunt's hairdressing salon. I became a complete workaholic and saved every penny I earned, determined to reach that £100 which I did by age 16. My sister had an emergency and I loaned her £60. I went to Canada at age 17 and left my bankbook with her for her to pay what she owed me. I was devastated on my return to UK to find that not only had she not paid in what she owed, but she had taken out the other £40 to treat herself to clothes.<br /> I thought of all the things I did without, and all the hard working hours I had put in as a child, only to end up with nothing while she flounced about in her new clothes, gloating. I did that for years and never got better at it. There were so many things I told him he didn't have to pay me for because I messed them up &amp; he still always did.
