It depends on if I'm pregnant. If not, I will likely be depressed, as I've always said I wanted at least 1 kid before I'm 30 (being pregnant with the first would be ok) and by then it would also be a year of TTC which would make it hard too! DH and I originally wanted to already be pregnant or have a baby by 30 but that did not happen and we were also not TTC yet, so I felt the pressure to start. We had LO right before my 31st birthday. I bought my house, finished grad school, dated a lot, backpacked around Mexico and Guatemala solo...and met my DH that year. Honestly though---most of my years from say, 23-32 (now) have been pretty amazing. Friends tried to give me a hard time about it but honestly I was kinda happy about beginning my 30's. I still feel like a kid sometimes playing an adult, however, my co-worker in her 50's tells me she still feels that way. I was single, no boyfriend, no dates, nothing. I threw myself a HUGE blowout with 40+ friends, bought a fabulous new dress and shoes, and celebrated in style, but I was really not feeling so secure with where my life was at that point. Looking back, if I had known I was going to meet my DH 9 months later and be married and pregnant by my 35th birthday, it would have helped a bit, but I'm not going to lie and say it wasn't hard. My 20's weren't that great - I spent a lot of time single, overweight and unhappy. In my late 20's I had finally lost all the weight, met DH, gotten married and by the time I turned 30 had a job that paid well that I really enjoyed, dressed a lot better and had so many more friends. Turning 32, however, hit me like a ton of bricks. Partly due to the struggles of TTC and partly due to the fact that meant I was sort of the mid-way point to 35.
