Foster agencies encourage families to foster (because that is what they need), but my sis only agreed to work with legally free infants who had already gone through termination of parental rights. Her daughter was placed with her at age 6 weeks after a several month wait for a placement. We knew we wanted to adopt again, but we couldn't afford to do another private adoption, so fostering seemed like a good fit for us! We're hoping if we stick with it long enough, an opportunity will arise for an adoption. Friends of ours shared that they were at fostering fair on Valentine's Day. I think they have been TTC for a while and have decided to adopt.
