I've been thinking a lot about this, too. What complicates our situation is DD recently moved up from toddler to preschool, so she's spent most of the year with teachers she doesn't have anymore. I may do a large gift basket.

Her baby room had a similar set up. We gave the two main teachers / ones we knew had a special connection with her gc. Then we brought in a food basket from a local bakery for everyone.

It's pretty much the same situation at our daycare. I think there are maybe 2 teachers that I don't really think have anything to do with my son's 'care' and 6-8 that he interacts with regularly. I think I am going to give gift cards to the main teachers and make this as a group gift:

I have absolutely no idea how to handle this, either. In your situation, I'd probably do gifts just for your LO's main caregivers/teachers.

In ours, I never see D's actual teacher. The front staff opens the door for me, then goes to get D and brings him out to me. Same in the mornings - Hubs hands him over to one of the front staff, who takes him back to the baby room. I know that on occasion they provide care for him on a day-to-day basis, but for the most part it is the teacher who we never really interact with. So...group gift?

I'd love to see how others have handled this. DS has 3 main teachers in the infant room but there are others that help out. I know the morning manager helps for drop off as that's who I see but there's an afternoon manager or the principal when DH picks him up. I think we could have as many as 6-7 teachers in the room at one time or another. I wasn't sure if I should do some sort of group gift or what. Ah!

In that case, I would get a gift for the main teachers. Then the other 6 would do cookies or some kind of Christmas treat.

LO's room has 2 main teachers, but I only see them at drop-off (often I only even see one of them) since they come in early. by pick-up the other teachers are covering the kids who are left and I actually tend to talk to them more since it's not as rushed. there are 4 toddler rooms so 8 teachers I think.

I can't get something individual for every toddler teacher, so I'm curious how people approached if in a similar setup? I'm thinking to do gift cards for the 2 main teachers but not sure how to handle the others, whether to do a communal food gift or something - thoughts?
