I wanted to see what my hormones were doing, but the RE thought it was silly just to test hormones and wanted to do the whole shebang- do we did blood testing, SA, HSG, and ultrasounds. A few years ago my husband Googled in for about his sperms based on a taste complaint I had. He decided he has super sperms and a sperms bank would be all too eager to get their hands on his stuff. Before we started trying, I had talked to a number of people who said something like, "I didn't expect to get pregnant the first month but then I did" so I DID expect to get pregnant right away. The same damn thing happened for her! It's hard not to want to compare myself to that, since we are the same age. Of course, my super hopeful brain counted 4 months as being "waiting." </p> <p>We had already been talking about it and NTNP for a good 7 months before we started actively TTC. </p> <p>After that, I started to get more anxious about it and desperate for a family. Every new month was met with more focus and symptom spotting during the TWW, followed by a heavier and heavier sense of disappointment when AF started. </p> <p>It was really my MC that set me over the edge and made me despair, though. I've no idea how to remain hopeful.
