Back in it's heyday...it kind of sucks now. But these were friends in real life....I used to host meetups in our town for travelers and these were all local people that came to the meetups. We went to middle school and high school together, and remained in touch til now. I consider them my "childhood friends". </p> <p>The other group of close friends is from college and church. We were all really involved in church throughout college and have this unbreakable bond. There really is no other time in life like college where everyone is forming their identities, and able to have all the time in the world to just hangout and build relationships. There is this freedom to be spontaneous and to worry about very little but our own or each other's needs! </p> <p>Finally, I've made some close friends post-college through parenting, but it's not the same because our time is limited, and a lot of times our focus is on the kids. We can't just be spontaneous and go to a concert together or grab late night munchies on a whim the way we were able to do in college!
