After she was born, DH went out into the waiting room and held up the pink onesie. I could hear our fan club (as the nurses lovingly refered to them as) cheering and crying as the doctor was doing all the afterbirth stuff. Brought the biggest smile o my face!! DH called my parents, my BFF and my other SIL. We made a blanket FB statement late that night, to the tune of "DH and I thrilled to announce the birth of our SON, Evan Charles McK at 1:31 PM. 8lbs, 12oz and 20" long. Pictures soon." We hadn't been planning on making a public announcement like that so soon, but my father started posting about it to my siblings (who I don't really talk to)... We hadn't 100% decided on her name so it was a cliff hanger- it's a girl, name tbd. Then we sent another text to friends and family saying its a girl with name and birth stats.
