M is 1 year and for the last month or so has been fighting her afternoon nap on and off. At daycare (3 days a week) she takes 1 long nap- usually from 12-2ish. Could this be why she is fighting taking a second nap at home too? At home she goes down so easily for her morning nap, but if it is even 1 hour and 30 minutes, she will refuse to take an afternoon nap- leading to a cranky baby and early bedtime.

If your LO showed signs of being ready for 1 nap, how did you help with the transition for them? Did you just go cold turkey and do a nap after lunch or did you gradually make the switch? How long did you keep trying for 2 naps before just making it 1?
