@Coco Bee: Yeah, in general I feel like I was cheated out of enjoying the last part of my pregnancy (setting up nursery, going to prenatal classes, being big and pregnant in public, etc). It's easy for me to throw a pity party for myself so I try not to let myself go down that road and instead just try to focus on being a good mom and laying in bed : )

@winniebee: aww what a doll! that is SO sweet of her. Was it sad for you feeling like you missed out on it though? I loved setting up DS's room.

@Coco Bee: Oh all of my muscle looks like cellulite now (could be due to the nightly ice cream....could be due to the muscle atrophy!) I worked out 4-5x a week before bedrest so hoping that in the end that helps me bounce back. My mom was a rock star and did the baby room for us while I've been on rest....washing everything, hanging curtains, doing the bedding, picking up odds and ends, etc etc. She has to wash 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes tomorrow but otherwise we are done. Crazy!

@Jennimac: Thanks for sharing!

@winniebee: I just hope you don't end up with any muscular atrophy. But it sounds like you worked to make sure you were a little bit active too, like showering daily or sitting outside (lol!). I hope you get cleared tomorrow too!
Had you finished the baby's room before you had been put on bedrest?

@winniebee: My cousin, who had been on bed rest since February/due May 15, had her baby on April 15. She was 6 lbs, 13 oz. and is doing great. She didn't have to stay in the NICU or anything; lungs were awesome.

@Coco Bee: Thanks....We are thrilled! I walked around a little yesterday and MAN my back and the pressure down there was crazy! Mostly, I'm just not used to ambulating with a big belly! When I'm back up on my feet totally it will be weird to see how the rest of my body reacts. Hoping the doc will clear me tomorrow : )

@winniebee: I didn't deliver that early but eek so excited you're practically term! I bet you're SO happy to have made it this far!
How does it feel walking around - do you feel "weak"? I've heard that's common with women who've been on bedrest for weeks on end.

@banana: Thanks!! I have no idea how big he is at his point, but I suspect he's still a peanut since at 32 weeks he was only 3.5 lbs : ) Hoping to make it to 37 weeks but of course curious about others' experiences!

I delivered at 36 weeks! He was 6 lbs 2 oz and totally healthy. No NICU time at all. They did a car seat test on him since he was pre-term (they require this of all preemie and pre-term babies) to make sure that they can sit in the car seat and not have any breathing problems. We had to keep him for an extra day because he was so tiny that he kept slumping into his car seat and his breathing slowed down a bit. I had a c-section so it wasn't a big deal cause we had to stay in the hospital for 3-4 days anyway. Other than that, he was totally healthy!

I'm 36w + 1d and have been at risk for preterm delivery since 30w. As I get closer to full term (hurray!) I'm wondering if anyone delivered a 36 or 37 weeker, and if so, how your baby did? Any NICU time or other issues?

Thanks!
