It went way faster than I read and my contractions were not what I expected. I thought I would be walking around and such, but, I couldn't get out of the bed! I also didn't realize how bad the contractions hurt. I thought my SO would be helpful, he wasn't. I thought after my baby was born, I would get to hold him, but he was sent away because he wasn't getting enough oxygen. I thought at least people would stay with me after DS was born, but after the Dr sewed me up, I was alone (everyone went to look at DS through the nursery window). </p> <p>I think the best thing is just to be open minded.
