LO is 15.5 and we've been battling molars (stupid molars) so she's had some waking up the last few night, but last night she slept from 7:30 - 7:15 and woke up HAPPY! So glad this happened!

@Kemma: We got VERY serious! We made an appointment with our ped and game planned. I cut most dairy, almost all grains, got him back on Zantac, stopped co-sleeping (we were waking each other), got a crib wedge, REALLY tightened up our bedtime routine, nurse/offer BM bottles more frequently during the day, and we started the Sleep Lady plan, but haven't really had to employ much of the patting and shushing. He's been falling asleep within 5 minutes of us laying him down if he's not hungry.

Sounds rough :( We had a rare motn wakeup (hasn't happened in months), but only lasted about a little over an hour, and caused her to sleep in this morning (woke up at 8, usually wakes up around 630/7), so not bad I suppose.

DS did pretty well until vomit fest happened. Down at 8 and woke up at 4. Nursed and was still wide awake so I laid him down in his crib to chill. He was about to drift off to sleep when he started coughing which hit a gag reflex and out came spewing about 4oz of milk. Never seen so much vomit!!! Thankfully, I picked DS up immediately when I heard him vomit and just held him up facing the bed as he continued to vomit.

I cleaned him up, and put him in the Mamaroo while I cleaned up his bed, changed out the sheets, and started laundry. By the time I came back to him, he was already asleep again. Woke up at 6am.

Hugs, sounds like a rough night for E. LO slept from 7:30pm-7:30am this morning. He's been super sleepy lately. The daycare lady and us think that he's going through a growth spurt. When I wake him up, he wants the sound machine on and lays down again. The morning routine has been rough in our house lately.

We had a rough night last night too. After 5 nights of amazing sleep it all went to hell last night. I think we were up from 2-4? She was just staring at me wide eyed from my arms but if I tried to put her down she flipped. We tried nursing but she's 13 months and only nursing sporadically so my supply just wasn't really there. And she was coughing a little bit (and my hubs and I are both battling sore throats so she probably is too). So after two hours of no success I gave her Advil and heated up a bottle of cow's milk (she hadn't eaten much for dinner last night so I thought she might just be hungry). She took the Advil and drank the milk and then finally passed out. Hubs had to wake her up at 7:45 so he could go to work.

@lilyann: Possibly. He has 16 teeth already, and his pedi said he was set until the two year molars...but she said they could come as early as 16 months. He's an early teething, so it's totally possible, although I haven't seen anything yet (when I'm able to look, anyway :) ) If it happens again tonight I might try giving him a little bit of Tylenol and seeing if that helps...

Poor little guy :(

The baby slept one long stretch (3.5 hours) and then had the hardest time falling back asleep. He would sleep for maybe an hour before waking up again for another feeding, which was followed by the inability to go back asleep. I'm tired. My toddler was up in the middle of the night and bothered by his eczema. Rough night for both kids.

My daughter's sleep has been a little rough the last few days, b/c she's getting a new tooth, but last night she slept like a dream. Went down around 7:45 and didn't bother us until almost 8 AM this morning. (I know she was up earlier, but she didn't cry.)
I hope your son sleeps better tonight! Those nights can be really rough.

Is it teething? DS (15.5 months) has been going through this some and I think his molars are just getting to him. All 4 broke through a while ago but maybe it still hurts when they continue to grow? If not, I would think some bad dreams/separation anxiety.

E went down at 8, woke up at 2 and then wouldn't go back to sleep. He'd fall asleep and then wake up 5 minutes later crying. D was determined that we just go to sleep and let him CIO, but he was getting louder and I always go to him at night and his room shares a wall with another apartment (the neighbor says he's never heard E, but I'm not sure that he's not just trying to be nice about it...)

After the fourth time going in and soothing him I curled us both up on the futon in his room. Normally he'd chill for a minute and then sit up and climb down, but we stayed there for almost 3 hours. He didn't sleep through it, and was still waking up every 15 minutes, but I was right there so I think that helped. Unfortunately I was only able to doze, and when he woke up every 15 or so minutes so did I.

At close to 5a I was able to move him into his crib and he stayed asleep and I went back to bed. He slept until 9:30, and then I shoved D out of bed to get up with him.

Not sure what was wrong. He was dry, had his paci...maybe he had a bad dream? Maybe he was feeling some serious separation anxiety?

How'd your LO sleep last night?
