I'm interested to see how this goes for me. I have a 4 year old bonus son. I have been in his life since before he can remember. He is currently the only child in both households. He's used to tons of one on one time with 3 parents. I'm afraid the jealousy issues will be in full force. I'm already trying to plan out one on one time for us, as right now he spends the most alone time with me.

I don't have baby 2 yet, but I know when I hold my niece my son is all over me. He wants me to hold him, because I'm his mommy and cannot be shared.

This worries me abit for the arrival of baby 2, but at the same time that's in another 6 months and I'm sure he will understand (more) Last week I held a 6 week old baby, and he couldn't be bothered. So it's off and on.

I was told giving your toddler a gift from baby upon arrival might help a little. Makes the arrival less stressful.

How old were your other children and how did they react to your new baby? Good/ Bad? Did it get better over time?

My brother and his fiance are expecting their second child and their first child will be about 18 months. I already read MrsBee's blog post about how Charlie reacted. I wonder how a new baby affects other children at different ages.

How was your experience?
