Not sure if he remembered to let him smell it or not but our dog has adjusted well. They ignored it. They were VERY excited to meet their new family member. They get really excited when she cries, I think they want to help or just want someone to make it stop. One dog wants to lick her all the time, the other ignores her. Our dogs plopped on the blanket and was smelling my husband's shirt. They were so excited. When we brought him home, they were ecstatic! They have been nothing but sweet to him.
