I wore sneakers with loose socks, then I drank lots of water and reduced my sodium intake and that helped a lot

My feet were so incredibly swollen, it was worrisome! I would soak my feet in warm water and epsom salt, followed by propping on pillows with an icepack!

I got really serious about avoiding salt and that cured my swelling, but I realize that doesn't work for everyone.

My suggestion would be to wear Crocs.

During pregnancy my feet did not swell up, and I have my LO to thank for that. He made me so thirsty and drink around the clock. I'm sure I drank over a gallon of water everyday. Unfortunately my feet swelled up after delivery, and I wore compression socks to ease the pain. Looking back, I should have chugged a gallon of water each day. I've also been told that lowering your salt intake might help.

Mine got so incredibly swollen after delivery, my Mom had to run out and buy me a pair of Mens sandals with velcro straps in 2 sizes bigger than I would usually wear. They were unattractive, but necessary, they were all I could wear for over a week. During pregnancy, I got by with a pair of sandals I had with adjustable straps adjusted all the way out, they were tight, but I could still get them on.

My feet were gross and awful and huge. The only thing that helped was to keep them elevated, but the second they went down they were huge again. I didn't work so I didn't have to worry about that. I bought one pair of flip flops a size bigger and wore those the whole time.

I put my feet up a lot, drank a lot of water and wore stretchy flats to work every day. After I had my baby, I was still swollen the first week so I got compression socks and while they didn't really go down, it helped me be more comfortable.

I have one pair of black Anne Klein pumps that I can wear (I think they either run big, or I somehow bought them about a size too big because they are larger than my regular shoes). Those are pretty much the only shoes that fit these days, so I wear them 24/7. :/

Otherwise, I try to put my feet up at night when I get home, and I put an empty paper box under my desk and try to elevate my feet some on that during the day at work. I also take my shoes off when I’m at my desk. I have a cheapie in-home pedicure tub, and soak my piglets in that (and some lavender Epsom salt) several times a week. I wouldn't say any of that is really helping...they still look like Fred Flintstone feet by the end of the day!

No swelling during pregnancy, but swelling after csec. Compression socks helped and keeping feet elevated.

I am just shoving my swollen feet in the same pair of flip flops every morning. I have had swollen feet for weeks, and these are the only ones that are comfy enough to wear all day.

they did a little the first time around and this time... nothing!
But wait... after I gave birth... holy swollen feet. It was so painful.
I had sausages for 3 weeks. Had to sleep/sit with my feet up at all times. no fun!

Compression socks saved me. They are the only way I can still wear shoes, but I have to put them on first thing in the morning. They actually help with the pain that I have from swelling too. You can pick up a pair at the drugstore.

Otherwise I try to keep them up as much as possible, drink lots of water, and avoid too much salt.

Toward the end my midwife challenged me to drink a gallon of water a day for two days. I was already drinking a good amount of water, but definitely not a gallon! I ended up doing this for about 3 or 4 days and my feet and ankles were close to normal by the end!

I put them up as much as possible and wore flip flops everywhere. Even to work. I figure if the rest of me is business casual, they aren't going to get mad at a pregnant lady for wearing the ONLY pair of shoes that fits.
I haven't had any success in reducing the swelling and have pretty much given up. Now I'm just praying she's on time or early because I don't have more than 11 days left in me.

Nothing really worked for me. But I had two pairs of flip flops that I wore for about the last six weeks (they are now long gone in the garbage!). I tried to put my feet up as much as possible when I was home and tried to drink even more water.

It took about a week post partum for my feet to get back to "normal" and it was a welcome relief to finally wear all my shoes and see my ankles.

Did your feet swell when you were pregnant? If so, what did you end up wearing for shoes? I have found that I'm down to one pair of flip flops that fit over my swollen feet now and I'm worried what I'll do if they swell further!!

What did you wear on your feet (specifically to work) when your feet swelled?
