My parents told me when I was four when I asked, and I was satisfied with the answer and not freaked out.</p> <p>Because they didn't make a big deal out of it and just answered it nonchalantly like any other question, I didn't think that much of it and just crossed it off my mental list of confusing questions.</p> <p>(I think the phrasing was something along the lines of<br /> "When a man and a woman want to make a baby, they do something called having sex. It's a way of expressing their love for each other. The man's penis fits in the woman's vagina and they are connected like puzzle pieces. A sperm comes out of the man's penis and travels inside the woman to find her egg, and when they touch a baby begins to be formed. After nine months of growing into a baby, the woman gives birth and the baby comes out."</p> <p> I think my answer was, "Oh ok." lol</p> <p>Later when I found my parents condoms and asked what they were, it was a simple explanation.<br /> "If a man and woman don't want to make a baby when they are having sex, the man wears this and it keeps the sperm from getting to the egg so no baby is made." </p> <p>Simple, easy, and the answer satisfied me. Oh man. I kind of panicked, but I think I answered her pretty well. I just said that the mommy has an egg and the daddy has sperm and when they get together in the mommy's tummy, it makes a baby! Lol.
