I had this issue when I went to Australia. It took half of my trip to get over the jet lag, so I missed dinner for the first 3 weeks because I was in bed, and then the crazy messed up sleep ended up making me sick.

No help, just wanted to say I feel your pain :(

6:22am still up. Just packed Charlie's lunch. All are asleep.

I did get one night of good sleep where I got 7 hours straight, but then I still couldn't get back on track the next night. i try to stay up all night and day, but because i'm getting so little sleep overall, i usually can only make it to 3 or 4 before I need a nap.

phew i've never had jetlag this bad ever. it was actually the kids who made it worse because they were waking up a lot on the trip and when we first got home, so i got in this bad opposite schedule that i couldn't get out of.

oh well eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with milk now and all will be up soon!

This sounds rough, but cycling over used to work for me. Stay up for the rest of the day and by nightfall you'd be knocked-out early. It would always work for me, except when I was pregnant during my last visit during the holidays. It fixed my schedule 2 days but then got all screwy again. Jet lag sucks. It took both DH and I 2 weeks to finally get back in sync.

Put your husband in charge or get a night nanny to help him and go to a hotel for the night!

I recently did that and it was the best thing I could have done. I had a massage and went right to bed.

Try to get natural light in the morning, and turn off all electronics two hours before you plan to go to bed (I know that's hard!).

I'm in the same boat, pregnancy is screwing up my sleep schedules - obviously, I'm on hellobee at 4:14 AM....

I thought it would be hard to get the kids back on track after traveling, but they have been doing pretty great. The problem is.... me!

After 2 weeks I'm still jetlagged and having trouble getting back on track. Even though I'm exhausted I can't fall asleep until it's 5am or later. Often I'll fall asleep for a little while at night, then Olive wakes up, and I can't fall back asleep. Yesterday I was up until 6am. Tonight it's almost 4am and I'm still up.

I've been exhausted because I'm getting so little sleep, and when I do sleep, it's in the form of naps. I've had varying degrees of insomnia most of my life, but post-kids I've been a decent sleeper since I'm so tired.

Any advice on how to combat my jetlag and insomnia? I might take some sleeping pills tonight!!
