I've done it all. I think it's a horrible phase and I can't wait for it to pass!

For T we sign. She signs all done. It took a few days and a few tantrums. I also feed her 1 type of food at a time so if she's done with berries I refrigerate for the next meal, then avocado, then turkey and cheese it all mixed together grosses me out.

@Foodnerd81: same! My DD is a "swiper"...likes to swipe her hands across the high chair tray and push things to the floor. I just give her very little portions now from her plate that stays on the kitchen table with the rest of our family plates. Like...1 piece of chicken, 1 blueberry, and one piece of squash. When she finishes it, I give her a little bit more.

I only gave LO a few pieces at a time, so at least she could only throw those and not the entire serving. Still infuriating but less mess and you can save the leftovers (for her to throw tomorrow). It was a phase though and I had forgotten about it until this!

Same here, but with his cups. Don't get me wrong, he throws food too. He seems to only throw food if I give him too much at once, if it's something he's decided he doesn't like, or if he's actually done. The cup is the worst. Sometimes it means he's done. Sometimes he's just excited. And often, he spills the whole thing :bummed:

DS is 15 months and loves to throw his food on the floor. Plus he's pretty picky, so whatever he doesn't want gets thrown on the floor. It. Drives. Me. Nuts. I tell him no, that we don't throw. I've taken his food away. I've taken him out of the high chair when he starts throwing. Nothing seems to be helping. Any advice??
