I am getting so sick of it, but nothing is working for relief so my midwives and I are pretty sure it's simply a really annoying pregnancy side effect of increased fluids/mucous.</p> <p>I've tried every allergy med and nasal sprays. Normally works like a charm. And also your OB. I tried to fight mine from 35-36+5 and ended up in L&amp;D overnight on antibiotics and with an IV. I'm a huge anti-meds person and was so grateful they could help me fight my cold turned into pneumonia. Seriously. I woke up from a post labor nap and was cured. I then add a teaspoon or two of elderberry syrup. It seems to be a 36-48 hour thing. Benadryl, Sudafed, Tylenol all safe. Agree with the above - take what you need (for me it was Benadryl at night to help the runny nose) and rest up. Also lots of rest if you can and drink tons of fluid.
