@Rubies: Just like @prettylizy, she'll take it every time i offer it to her but not always nurse for a long time. i wonder if offering it to her less will have her nurse longer when she does take it. I'll try tomorrow!

@caffeinated: Well, is she eating-eating? Like, big, long sucks? Or just little sucks for comfort? If she's hungry-hungry, then I'm sure it's fine!

Hmmm...If I recall correctly, when LO was 6 months (and just started solids), I was breastfeeding 4-6 times a day. The only difference I notice is that I stopped breastfeeding her right before her naps because she'd fall asleep on my boob, which I did not want. But I would bf her when she woke up from a nap.

I don't think you can over feed an EBF baby (in my experience). They just stop eating when they are full. My LO will eat every time I offer her the boob, but she just doesn't take asa much if she's not as hungry.

This may sound stupid, but how do i know if i'm feeding LO too often? She is almost 6 months old, and i'll breastfeed her about 6-7 times before bedtime and one feeding at night. I'll feed her when she wakes up from a nap, and give her a little top up before naptime. Since she usually naps for 2 hours, i feel like i should make sure she's full. Every time i start to offer her the boob, she starts going nuts, panting and kicking her legs. After her last nap she'll get 2 tbsp of cereal + bf and right before she goes to bed i'll give her one last feed.

Lately i noticed that she has been spitting up quite a bit and not having a clean loud burp like she used to. Instead she'll have a wet burp, swallow some of her spit up and start hiccuping like crazy.

Could i be overfeeding her? How often did you feed your LO at this age? I know it's much easier to measure how much you're feeding them when bottle feeding but she is EBF.
