You can do it! It'll be better sleep for both you AND your LO and that's what matters in the end.

@emg86: Hugs! It is hard but worth it. And you never know she might do great. She could be waking up cause she knows you are right there.

@emg86: I co-bedded with my LO until she was 9 months, and she has always been 100% Team Mama. When we finally did sleep training at 9 months, it took her only 3 nights to get to where she was sleeping almost 9 hours with minimal fussing after being put in the crib.

You can do it! And she will still love you in the morning - promise!

I also think it seems more like her wanting you. I think it's around the 5 month mark where they are a lot more aware of their surroundings. If she wakes up and realizes you're in the same room, she'll probably demand for your attention even more. It may take a bit to transition her to her own room but it may be worth it in the end.

I agree with @MsLipGloss: We had the same issue with R, she was STTN and then her 5 am wake up to eat, started getting earlier and earlier and then we were up to multiples times a night nursing and/or trying to get her to sleep. She just got use to us helping her get back to sleep when she did wake up. She could still fall asleep on her own. So we resleep trained, rough 3 nights, but since then we are golden.

I don't think she's hungry, I think she just wants her mama. Sounds like it is time to transition her to her own room/crib. I think you will both be glad you did!

My LO just turned 6 months old. She started sttn since she was 2 months. I would nurse her to sleep and she would be out until 6 or 7 am the next day. Around 5 months she started waking up once at night, screaming like crazy...we figured it was teething and two weeks later two teeth popped up. She didn't seem interested in eating during those wake ups but sometimes she would comfort nurse and go back to sleep. Well, those once a night wake ups turned into two...into three...and then into every two hours. She's been eating solids before bed for about 2 weeks. I thought that would help get her back into her routine and sleep all night...but no such luck. She is in our room and sleeps in her own crib. We have debated whether it's time to move her to her own room :-( and we're both having a hard time deciding to do so. What she wants to do is stay in our bed & sleep right next to me & I just can't sleep that way. My husband will take her and snuggle with her but she just rolls back to me. My husband says we need to let her just fuss/cry to see if she goes back to sleep when she wakes up, but it breaks my heart cause I wonder if she's really hungry. She nurses about every 3-4 hours during the day, on demand and cluster feeds before bed. Any advice? Between the crazy naps due to the time change and every 2 hour wake ups, I'm about to lose my mind. Sigh.
