@MaisyMay: Aww, she is such a cutie! I'm glad the first day went well for both of you. :) I think transitioning back part-time at first makes things a little easier. Even still, it's so hard to leave them on that first day. I am already dreading it, and I still have two months left of maternity leave!

I remember when I was first leaving Owen at daycare, someone told me that even though the day would feel really long for me, to him, it didn't really register whether I was gone five minutes or five hours. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it made me feel a little better.

@kml636: It went really well. I chose to go back 3 days a week for the first few weeks. I guess she fell asleep right after I left, woke once for a bottle and diaper change, and went back to sleep. She was still asleep when I got home. She was with the sitter from 9:15-3:45.

@MaisyMay: I hate leaving my LO too. For me, I always tell myself that no matter what I have to accomplish at work, that nothing will be harder than leaving my LO in the morning. After that, I focus on the fact that I will get to be with her again in a few hours . . . and I only take it one day at a time. (((hugs)))

@MaisyMay: Awwww what a cutie! It would be very hard, and as a WOHM it IS hard, some days are better than others but that doesn't mean you don't miss your LO. Just try to focus on work, it makes the day go faster (I was more productive my first month back than EVER!) :)

@MaisyMay: while 6 weeks wasn't the worst growth spurt I remember, it was definitely harder since my guy was so new. I was scared OF him and not used to taking him places yet, so that made it really hard. At 5 1/2 months was when I wanted to run away... but it always passes, and you've got time ;)

Aww, that's rough to leave them any time! But it does get a tiny bit easier... especially around her next growth spurt ;) Hope you did alright today. I have my husband text me photos here and there, that helps me get through the day so much better- even a year later!

BTW, I just love her name, she is so cute!

Apparently she fell asleep right after I left, woke up once for a bottle and diaper change, fell back asleep, and is still snoozing. I don't think she really missed me.

In 2 hours, A's babysitter/nanny and her son will be here for our first day back to work. I'm excited to go back to an adult environment and for Amelia to get to hang out with somebody other than me, but I'm sad. Little Girl has been so much fun the last 2 days, now that she's over her growth spurt! She started tracking this morning, following DH as he was getting ready to leave for work. She was awake for nearly all of the Super Bowl party yesterday, just chilling.

ETA: I'm excited to go back to work, and know that A is in great hands, just a little sad that I'll miss her.

How am I supposed to leave this?
