Smaller, more frequent meals. Paced feedings with frequent burps. Sitting upright (but not bent forward) after meals.

All that to say, we still were covered in spit up until we started solids & now she never spits up!

I found smaller meals more frequently to help DS. If he was starving and ate too much he spit up EVERYTHING.

I cut my son off from nursing too long. That seems to reduce his spitup volume a lot. It also reduces his discomfort while he's digesting. Basically, I don't think he knows how to responsibly cut himself off!

Hopefully it's not something you'll have to do, but with LD when I eliminated dairy and soy she 100% stopped spitting up (and she was SU constantly after every meal).

DD1 was a huge spitter! We didnt try anything, it was just more annoying than harmful. Maybe you can quickly hand express before the feed?

I had it really easy with DD1 because she never spit up. So, it's a whole new world to me, and DD2 seems to spit her whole meal up, regardless if I try to stop and burp her (which makes her SO mad! haha).

The doctor suggested pumping a little first to slow down the flow. It sounds good in theory, but I just picture a hungry, screaming baby that isn't ok with waiting, especially in the middle of the night.

Did you find anything that worked for you?
