@regberadaisy: Yup! they are screw on lids, and each has their own lid.
Even though they're stackable, they are all sealed even when stacked.

@Mrsbells: probably only and ounce or two. They are small, smaller than a glass food jar.

Another option is to put a listed in craigslist that you're looking for glass baby food jars. I did that and within 10 minutes got a reply from someone saying they'd save them for me!

@regberadaisy: The seal well. Just like a tupperware lid.

@Coco Bee: Do those lids have a good seal? And are there enough lids for all the containers?

@Thehistoryofus: how's the seal? Doesn't look like it screws on so I would be afraid of spillage during transport.

We bought these and they worked for a while. We did have a bit of trouble when we got to 3 ounces and 3 of the 1 ounce ice cubes wouldn't fit in these with the lid closed. Also had a bit of staining on the lids from frequent use.

@TurtleDoves: I'm very much leaning towards getting 4oz jelly jars as well. Because I can always reuse them for canning in the future.
What do you plan to do about lids?

@Mrsbells: That's what we have!!
We have the baby bullet serving jars- they are so handy! they also have a dial on the top so you can indicate which day of the month you made the puree.

This looks good too: http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Browns-Designed-Flexpods-Stackable/dp/B0052OTQZ4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1343845209&sr=8-6&keywords=dr+brown+plastic

We also have these: http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Browns-Designed-Nourish-Snack-A-Pillar/dp/B0052TT6GI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343845235&sr=8-1&keywords=dr+brown+designed+to+nourish
And they are great! they can stack together or come apart, each have lids. They are the perfect size for purees.

We bought a baby bullet accessory kit which came with 8 storing jars but I also went out and bought like 12? small mason jars. I plan on boiling them before using them for the first time (which for me won't be for awhile).

Then I want to try out DH's label maker so I can write contents and date on the jars...you can peel the labels right off when the jar comes back from daycare.

My daycare does not allow glass so I used little tupperware containers when DD first started and as we increased the amount used bigger tupperware containers. I would run them through the dishwasher to sterilize, like I did with her bottles.

@regberadaisy: I use them like regular "tupperware" I think we have the 8 oz ones. We usually just filled them half way and sent them that way. It is very convienent because they stack and can go in and out of the fridge and freezer.

I bought Earth's Best food in glass jars, which I brought to daycare. Gerber and Beechnut still use glass for their purees too. Small canning jars could work well, so could glass tupperware. You could even freeze the purees in ice cube trays and just drop a couple servings into jars, so you don't need as many. Then you can just wash and reuse daily.

@brownie: That's what I was thinking! Which size do you use? Do you can them or just use them as you would regular "tupperware" and throw them into the freezer?

I'm planning on making our own purees for M when she's ready to start solids.

My question is how do you bring your purees into daycare?

My co-worker said she asked her daycare to save those Gerber plastic containers and she re-uses those. I'm not liking the idea of not being able to sanitize that.

So I was thinking small jelly canning jars? Or small glass tupperware? Does Gerber still put their purees in glass jars?

How do you bring yours in?
