We didn't have a diaper on us, so we detoured to a grocery story and bought a whole pack of diapers. Turned out that he had just laid a really smelly fart on us at the exact moment that we sniffed him. Touche, Charlie... touche! I remember when I was pregnant, I read somewhere of some pregnant lady saying "I'll never be one of those moms who lifts up their baby and sniffs their butt to check for poop, or pulls the diaper open to peek... gross".... it still puzzles me how this woman expected to know when to change a diaper... would she have undressed and undiapered her baby every time she suspected??? Nowadays, she can be more discrete about it but I always smell it. My LO has super smelly poo, and usually I don't even need to be that close to him. It is a tad more difficult to smell through the layers in a cloth diaper though. Charlie often lies about this tho. * The Touch - I touch the diaper to see if there's a payload in there. How do you check for poops?
