I read something once where it said that regular dish soap did as good of a job as the special sprays so I've done that ever since. I've heard the vinegar thing works as well - I just don't usually have time to soak something for 15 minutes. I soak berries and soft fruits in vinegar water. The only things I don't clean are bananas, mushrooms and kiwis. Everything else gets washed. I have noticed a difference when I use the spray. It says to rub for 30 or so seconds and then rinse. You can really feel the difference on the fruit! You can also dilute it in a bowl for things that are harder to clean like lettuce or broccoli. I'm not saying I don't just use water sometimes... It's a liquid, I just pour a little on, and rinse it off. I don't know if that's all that effective, but so far I haven't had any issues.
