I hear (on the internet, we haven't even bought a diaper pail yet much less used it) that sometimes the stink is just there to stay and you have to throw it out. But the bleach/drying in the sun options sounds like it's worth a try! That's why people seem to like the Ubbi-- the metal doesn't soak up the smells the way plastic does. Afterwards we spray it with lysol disinfecting spray and the smell is gone. I've scrubbed it out with bleach and rinsed it with hot water and soap - still stinks. Then I started using fabreeze scented garbage bags but the stink is uncontrollable.</p> <p>How do you clean yours? I'm ready to throw ours out!! </p>
