We have the engineered wood (I guess that's the same thing?), and we use our shark steam mop turned off and spray a mix of murphys oil and water using a zep bottle. When I mop I just spray an area of the floor with the zep bottle and then just go over it with the turned off steam mop.

When we had laminate, I used vinegar and water (usually like 50/50) and a reusable swiffer like mop thing. It had a washable microfiber cloth thingy.

So I just switched the way I clean our pergo and it looks amazing! I rinse a rag in hot water, then fold it over the bottom of our swifter instead of using a disposable pad. The floor gets sprayed with a 50/50 vinegar water mix with a drop of dawn in it. I rinse the rag out two or three times to do one room. No more streaks or tackiness!

Laminate floors shouldn't be steam cleaned.
I think the recommendation is damp (not wet, so no wet jets) mopping when necessary.

We have laminate but we aren't allowed to use a steam mop. They said it pulls up the flooring. I use a twist and shout mop. I would way prefer a steam mop! My mop is okay... at least there is no additional purchasing- you just throw the dirty mop head in the wash.

I use a Shark. Before that I had a Swiffer Wet Jet but I really don't care for them. I felt like they never really got the floors very clean and left a residue on the floor. Maybe a replacement Shark?

We have pergo-type flooring on our main floor. I have a Swivel Sweeper that I use daily and a Shark Steam mop that is use less often...
Anyway, my steam mop just broke and I am wondering what to replace it with. Another steam mop? Perhaps a Bissel, or another Shark? I've also been thinking about a Swiffer Wet Jet, or something like that.
What do you use? What do you reccommend?
