I use it in place of butter or olive oil. They are great with roasted veggies. You can't taste the coconut flavor but brings out the natural sweet flavors of whatever your are roasting.

I used it today for eggs and I couldn't taste it. I was out of butter...

I can't really tell even with the unrefined. I use it in pans like butter but primarily in baked goods like muffins!

I use it instead of butter because LO has MSPI. I do think it has a mild coconut flavor but with most things it goes pretty well. There are only a few things that I really don't like it with, such as fried eggs.

Yep, generally use it in place of olive oil or butter. You can buy refined coconut oil that doesn't have the coconut flavour. I use that for savoury dishes and unrefined for baking/things that would be delicious with added coconut flavour.

I use it in place of butter/olive oil. I just use a little bit and haven't even noticed the taste in foods. Once DH used quite a bit and I could taste it just barely.

Does it have a strong coconut flavor, particularly in savory dishes? Do you use it in place of butter and olive oil? I've heard so many great things about it, but I'm a little nervous to try...
