Yea, I'd say her wake up time is 6am. It's nice that all you guys have been able to establish some kind of schedule. I haven't exactly done so. Well, I shouldn't say we don't have a schedule at all. The baby goes down at 10pm and wakes up around 6 or 7am. But our daytime routine isn't exactly as predictable as I'd like it to be. I'm not sure how to make it so.

I think as you baby gets older it will get more clear. Soon she'll stay awake and be more alert for a couple of hours after waking up.

I agree with Red on this topic. My son takes his first nap within 3 hours of his morning wakeup. At 12 weeks, it was about an hour after the morning wakeup.

I'd say her wake up time is 6am. Babies are awake their shortest stretch early in the morning. Even now at 11 months, my LO wakes up at 7am only to start her first nap @ 9am. The rest of the day, she's awake for 4-6 hours at a stretch.

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. My Lyle is 12 weeks right now and his schedule is:
8:30 pm - sleeping
4:30 am wake up / diaper / eat .... PLAY TIME - haha, in his mind at least. He is ready to be awake for like at least an hour to hour and a half.
6 - 7 am sleep, but very grunty/moves around
7am - eat and play (and I finally am amicable to get out of bed!)
Another nap by like 8:30 or 9 ... but again only for an hour.

I can't complain because he does a great long sleep, but 430am is killing me!

hm... I think her wake up time is actually 10 - 11am... Eli is 10 weeks old and here is his schedule:

6 pm ish- bath and bedtime bottle
6 30 - 7pm- bed time
4am- diaper change, bottle, back to sleep
6 - 7am-wake up, feed, play
8 30am- first nap (usually a 2hr nap)

Eli has trouble taking long naps during the day, besides his first morning nap.. he tends to catnap for the rest of the day.. which leads to his grumpiness right around 5 - 6pm :( because he is not getting the long stretch of sleep he needs to feel refreshed. Overall though, he is getting enough sleep in terms of total sleep hours... hope this helps! :)

Shoot. I don't even remember what things were like back then (4 months ago). SAD. Based on her schedule I'd say 6 am is her wake up time. Usually babies her age eat, get changed, play a little and are back down for zzzs.
I read somewhere that babies shouldn't stay up for more than 2 hour stretches lest they overtire. At 7 months my LO usually plays 2-4 (depending on the time of day) before she goes down for another nap/sleep.

My daughter is 12 weeks old and I'm trying to determine when her wakeup time is in actuality.

I would like to say that her wake up time is between 6-8am but whenever she wakes up during this period, she gets her diaper changed, eats, and then immediately falls back asleep for a good 2-3 hours. This makes me wonder if her real wakeup time is between 9-11am.

Her pattern, these days, looks like this:

Long sleep: 11pm-4am
4am wake up, diaper change, feed back to sleep
6am: wake up, fuss on and off until 7:30-8am
8am: diaper change, feed, falls asleep
10-11am: wake up.

Thoughts?
