Feed until she turns her head away. She doesn't eat a lot. I'm happy if she takes a few bites!

We just give her food till she starts playing with it, picks her plate up. She usually signs more if she wants more.

@Bookish: Glad to help ;)

He eats SO much at times... I just worry about overfeeding him to the point of a stomach ache! But it sounds like it's fine to let him keep eating until he's bored. Usually he'll start playing with his food, and I'll end mealtime... but sometimes (like tonight) he just keeps eating!

@Pepper: Your food threads have been helpful! :grin:

So, we basically feed her until she starts throwing food or raising her arms to be taken out of the high chair. Some days that's just a puree and some puffs, other days (like today), it's a puree, yogurt melts, cheerios, and two strawberries. She's pretty good about letting us know when she's done.

I follow his cues. Sometimes he eats a huge lunch and small dinner, other days he's really finicky. I keep feeding him until he refuses and his weight gain is fine!

At that age, I gave food until he was no longer eating, or until he was eating kind of halfheartedly/playing around with it. If he finished something, I would give him more.

We rarely have that problem these days :silly:

Please excuse all of my food related threads recently. I feel so clueless now that he's almost a toddler!

I am currently very lucky, because LO eats everything I put in front of him. He cleans his tray every night, though I realize that may change in the coming months! His eagerness to eat makes me wonder if I'm not feeding him enough? Do you feed your toddler until they're no longer interested in eating? Or, do you have a set portion size that you give them for each meal?
