I've blow dried DS's hair since he was about 3ish when we started growing it out... he's pretty much always had a "shag" length and if it's not blow dried then it flips crazy ways! Now that he's 7 we usually towel dry it at night & then wet it, brush it, and blow dry it in the morning if we're going somewhere... otherwise he has crazy boy hair. lol

Right now it's air dried. But if we have to leave the house and it's wet, I pull out the hair dryer (at the medium or low heat) and blowdry it.

I'm not sure about Sneakers's hair status, as she's still in utero, but a friend used to dry her son's hair with a hair dryer starting around 6 months on a cool setting... he had SO much hair and would take forever to dry even after a towel.

My toddler has long thick hair... So does my infant for her age. It's the first thing people say when they meet them... "my gosh, they have so much hair!"

Anyway, I just towel dry a lot, comb out tangles, towel dry again, comb... Then air dry. They still go to sleep with semi-damp hair sometimes, but it's not that bad. By the time they are dressed, books are read, prayers are said, etc... It's just as dry as its gonna get. I just don't think my toddler is ready for a blowdryer yet. Would love to hear what other moms do!

@Andrea: I've never been around babies before my LO... I have a million silly questions! But how are we supposed to know these things?

@artbee: It seemed like a silly, little question to ask but I thought hey, why not - it's HB!

We also towel dry. But her hair just consists of a tiny little mohawk with a swirl in the back. My mom towel dried our hair when we were babies.

Good question! Especially now that it's getting cold outside soon.... or for most people on here it has been cold for months.

My daughter's hair is only now getting fuller and longer. We wash her hair right before bed and I towel dry it as best I can but it's still slightly wet when she goes to bed. You don't use blow dryers on babies or toddlers right? Right before bed is the only time that I can wash her hair so I am wondering how to get it all dry before she goes to bed as she gets more and more hair. Her scalp is already dry so I think blow drying would be bad, not to mention probably freak her out. What do you all do?
