She likes the car, DH will be in the backseat, but she hates sitting still. This is what I've got in my car bag-a whole bunch of new dollar store toys and a few other things I found as well. I'm also going to map out splash pads along the way, so we can get out and run for a while. We are giving ourselves all day Thursday. He will watch Daniel tiger for a few minutes on a portable DVD player. It's only a couple of hours one way BUT my kids do not like the car. I have tons of ideas of my sleeve for my 2.5 year old but I'm stumped when it comes to my 1 year old. She rear faces still so handing her things is quite a challenge, and leaving during nap time isn't an option. I was going to go to the dollar store and get a few things that will be new to her, in addition to some regular toys and books. I'll also pack snacks. </p> <p>Any other ideas on how to entertain my one year old in the car? </p>
