I "sneak" in veggies, but it's for my husband not my child! haha he doesn't eat h veggies, so I throw them in with whatever I'm cooking so he gets them. My DD does great with them, but nothing wrong with lots of veggies!

E used to eat his veggies without a problem, but has been refusing them lately. I still offer them in their original form and try to get him interested, but I sneak them in to other dishes as well so that he is getting his daily servings. I think sneaking them is a helpful tool for getting kids to eat a balanced diet.

I add veggies to everything because my LO won't eat the plain version. I don't feel bad about it at all!

I don't want to sneak veggies in, but overall I want us to be healthier. So I serve lots of veggies but also "hide" them in different foods.

I like zucchini and banana bread, applesauce and oatmeal muffins, spinach in turkey meatballs, and butternut squash pasta sauce.

So when I first heard about cookbooks for how to hide vegetables in your kids' food, I thought it was a terrible idea. You shouldn't teach kids vegetables are bad! Encourage them to eat their vegetables through talking about colors, shapes, having them cook with you!

Then I realized how I love all those pinterest recipes where you are swapping out fruits and veggies for high calorie ingredients. Black bean brownies! Zucchini and greek yogurt muffins! Applesauce oatmeal cake! Cauliflower mac n cheese!

I don't want to be "sneaking" veggies in, I suppose. But I don't mind adding them to foods!

What do you think? Good or bad? Any favorite hidden veggie recipes?
