I try to get my 8 month old out of the house at least a few days a week - he has his baby swim class, and then I'll just take him out to stores or people watching at the mall the other days, which he loves. We've been house-bound all winter due to freeeeezing temps and a killer flu season, so in hoping once it warms up we cab get out for walks, outside time, etc. We basically full the day with tummy time, play mats, batting at toys, and books. I'm a sahm to a 2yo and we try to stay semi busy- library once a week, music class once a week, children's museum or play date another day of the week. The other days, we run errands or stay home. Sometimes I feel like my LO (10 mo) must be bored. I work from home and my sister is our part-time nanny. We do mommy and me once a week, the library once a week and I make an effort for him to be outside a lot (walks in the neighborhood, the park, playing in the yard), but he's at home a lot overall. Some days he doesn't leave the house (besides going outside/walks). Sometimes I feel like I need to have more 'activities' for him and more interaction with other kids. But on the other hand, I think our society has this tendency to over do everything and really want LO to be content with simplicity and not become another over-stimulated member of our society. Thoughts? How do you try and keep the right balance? </p>
