Balls, bubbles, bike (at that age it was more of a push bike she could learn to walk with), doll and stroller, kids books, wooden blocks - those probably have gotten used most our house for the longest period of time. But if she shows a lot of interest in a toy when we're out I take note and if she shows interest again next time it's usually something she'll play with regularly.

At first I didn't want too much clutter with toys when LO was a baby. Once he got older, it was too difficult to resist. I love to buy him toys, and he gets a lot of play out of them. I also buy knowing that I will have another LO who can benefit from those same toys. I try to aim for wooden and educational toys and leave behind the noisy ones (unless they're musical instruments).

I havent bought any toys, but he has gotten tons as hand-me downs/gifts. His favourite is the Fischer price sports activity centre - he could put the ball into the basket a hundred times a day!

My LO just turned a year old and I don't think he has many toys, but we like it that way. We have one basket on the living room floor, a play table, two walkers, and then extra toys stored in our stuffed ottoman (I do a toy swap every other week). There is a jumper in our dining room he uses rarely now. He does have lots and lots of books, though, as he enjoys reading with us or on his own. He's always been more interested in exploring our house and would prefer to just take stuff out of the kitchen cabinets all day so I've put breakables & cleaning stuff up high and let him go at it instead of locking them up.

My LO is younger, so I can't give toy recommendations but.. he loves his!! Many of them are hand me downs, but I've bought a few. Most recently, the b.parum parum drum.. the drum is forgettable but the other instruments are fun! He especially likes the shaking eggs.

I am a rabid toy declutterer! My toddler just gets bored of them and wants to read, or do whatever I'm doing in the kitchen. So she doesn't have a ton to start, and what she does have, I rotate frequently. I had a ton of toys as a child, and I felt overwhelmed and irritated about the clutter. You are certainly not depriving your child!

LO has a ton of toys, I mean tons! But she would rather play with a whisk, wooden spoon, keys, tape. Could you make a sensory box with household items? LO loves her sensory boxes. If I had to choose a toy, she loves her dino ball popper, wooden puzzles/blocks and books.

We don't have a super big house. I have one little basket from Target and it currently contains all of DS's toys...he is 9 months old. He has a baby einstein jumper also and that is about it.

I have been pretty adamant about not purchasing toys because I don't want to clutter up the house. I am starting to kind of second guess myself and wondering if I am depriving him now! If I were to get toys for a 9-12 month old, what are the absolute most worth it toys to get?
