My husband worked really hard to make sure I loved it (enlisted the help of my best friend, which I loved!) and it was just what I wanted. It's a cushion cut solitaire on a pave band. My wedding band matches. If I was choosing myself now I think I'd get something a little more simple... plain band and a lower setting just because I think my tastes are a little plainer now and because I find myself not wearing my e-ring much anymore because it gets in the way. My wedding band is wide and flat and only cost us a few bucks and it is perfect for me. My e ring has a tiny stone in it but it has a slit in the band and is thick and wide, I don't wear it every day because I work in an operating room and worry about bacteria in it. I added a band for LO after he was born. It goes between my wedding band and engagement ring. </p> <p>Sometimes, I pine for an asscher cut diamond, but other times I don't. The asscher cut is a mix of princess and round. My brother proposed to my SIL with a princess cut. I was smitten with the cut and never thought about other cuts at the time.
