It gets expensive though because we pay them (they volunteer but we give the money) and we pick them up and drop them off, usually at least 30 mins away. All for them to just sit in our house while RJ sleeps. But it's been working for us.</p> <p>We also have a few friends who volunteer, and a few of RJ's preschool teachers have told us they'd be willing to babysit, so we have their numbers on hand. </p> <p>When you don't have any family around you gotta be resourceful ;) And we make it a point to get babysitters at least 3-4 times a month so we can go on date nights or meet up with friends. But if I ever need a babysitter, I would use word of mouth, maybe ask some of my friends with kids if they'd share their babysitter :)</p> <p>Actually funny story, a girl I babysat when I was a teenager recently sent me an FB message congratulating me on my son, and offered to babysit!
