When she wasn't able to continue doing part time she recommended a friend who was also a nanny and happened to have two days available. I've heard a lot of people don't love it. I would second trying a nanny agency. From what I've heard, they're really good. We found her through a local parenting board and did a very thorough vetting of her references and past work history. </p> <p>We have now had her for almost 3 years and ADORE her. I feel like it's hard to find one that will be willing to do part-time, unless they are already part time with another family. The other hard part is my husband ONLY wants to hire someone through a direct referral, like a friend or an acquaintance who has worked with the potential nanny and had a good experience. He doesn't want to hire someone that we find off a website like Care. com or ad. I posted on my Facebook the other day asking if anyone I know had referrals, but haven't gotten any leads. </p> <p>How else should I go about this? </p>
