I don't always have the energy and our apartment looks like crap a lot at the end of the week. Last night I had a burst of energy and worked from 11:30-2 on the apartment and cooking...but most nights I fall asleep with LO. I try to do a lot on the weekends (cooking, etc.) And I usually get these bursts of energy when I feel like I don't have a life anymore!

I don't. Once I'm in, I'm in for the night, and heaven forbid I sit down on the couch after the baby goes to bed because then I stay there until I can't keep my eyes open (which is 10:00 these days). I so wish I could work PT so I'd have more hours to get things done instead of being exhausted and resenting the fact that we need clean clothes.

I do ONLY because I find that I feel depressed/down if I don't get out. I really need to get dressed up and get out of the house every once in a while, or else I find my mental health going down hill QUICKLY.

Many days, I don't! On those lucky days where I manage to get stuff done, I am so exhausted that I realize I've pushed myself too much. :(

I think it seems like everyone else is on top of everything from the outside, so we all think 'what's wrong with me?'. At least I feel like this. It's so nice to hear so many 'I don't' responses!

@mediagirl: I try not to sit down until I've done everything I need or want to do...OR I don't get changed right away, do a few things, sit down for a minute, then go get changed and continue getting things done.

I don't! By the time LO is in bed I am sooo tired...DH and I just veg on the couch, and he does the dishes :) The worst is when I have to shower. I wish humans were self-cleaning like ovens.

As long as I can just get myself out, I'm fine once I get there. DH usually has to drag my lazy ass out of the house but I'm always so happy once I do.

Most nights, I try to do stuff before sitting down on the couch for the night. This week has been tough with being sick. I don't have the energy to do my normal daily things let alone packing LO for the grandparents and packing ourselves for our trip. I'd love to go home early and nap right now.

I'm home with T and between chasing him around, running errands, and keeping the house clean. I have no energy to do anything after he goes to bed. Do the dishes and plop on the couch and am in bed around 9.

I do stuff before i get home! honestly. If i get home and sit, i'm done. It takes a LOT to drag my ass out of the house in the evening. So i tend to do stuff in the AM or RIGHT after work. Or weekends.

I get home on the earlier side, so I feel ok for a couple of hours, but right around 5:30 I start to hit the wall and it's all downhill from there. I usually make very simple meals that don't require a lot of effort during the week and I leave the dishes for my husband to do the next morning. I usually only tackle laundry on the weekends. I'll put stuff in the washer or dryer during the week, but leave it in a pile to be folded on the weekend. I'm in bed by 9pm and asleep by 10, sometimes 11 at the latest!

I don't stop moving until everything is done. If I sit down on the couch before the dishes are done, they will not get washed that night. So I do everything all at once, then totally crap out for the rest of the night.

Haha. That sounds awful but after a long day at work and a long commute I make dinner and put the toddler to bed and then I have no energy to do anything. I don't want to go out, I don't want to do laundry or dishes, I don't want to do anything.

How do you find the energy to keep going at the end of a long day/week/month?
