She might even recommend it for younger kids too... I just don't know because we went to a not-so good dentist before this. I guess it can't really hurt to do it sooner unless the battle is just not worth it. She's four. We got samples from our ped dentist's office. They're by Crayola and she has a matching Crayola toothbrush in her favorite color (red) that lights up for a minute while she brushes (so we do the top for a minute, then we press it again to do the bottom for the 2nd minute). She loves that toothbrush. </p> <p>Anyway, back to flossing... After we used up the Crayola ones from the dentist, we just got some similar ones from Babies R Us. It was like $3 for a bag of 48. She flosses twice a day so that barely will last us a month... I'm due to get more soon. They are flavored and come in four different colors and animal shapes. She loves picking out what color and animal floss pick she'll use. Then she just puts it in between her teeth! It's easy because their baby teeth are much more spaced out than ours. She needs help with the back teeth/spaces though. When she's done, then she has fun throwing it in the garbage! (my 4 yr old thinks everything is so fun these days!! I'm soaking it all in while it lasts!
