Does she have a lovey or other bedtime cues (stories/songs)? Maybe they could help her understand that it's time for lights out.

I second the Bjorn travel crib (or similar) idea.

@misolee: the lotus is on sale right now! http://www.guavafamily.com/products/lotus-everywhere-travel-crib

at $50 per bag for extra luggage, this would be a good investment since you would be able to fit it in one of your larger bags!

@misolee: I would look for a used travel crib! We love our lotus crib and yes it's $200 but it would fit in a carryon, is light and would save you on the baggage fees!

@misolee: I got the baby bjorn travel crib on CL for $100!!! It weighs like 8lbs and folds up into a bag...AWESOME! Also the mattress is nicer than a reg pnp

We were debating on bringing the pack n play but its so big and will take up our baggage allowance. But I guess we have to. I tried putting her to sleep at my moms today and it was a total fail.

I would love to have one of those light travel cribs but they're so pricy!

I wish I had that problem - LO won't nap in the car, stroller or her crib. Pretty much just on me at 7.5 months. :(

I second pp and try a travel pnp...sleeps probably going to be disrupted by the time change, so maybe keeping the sleep location somewhat consistent will help?

I would buy a travel pnp and take it with you. When we traveled with DD at that age I just nursed her to sleep. You probably don't want to do that though. :)

With DS (7 months old) we stuck him in a pnp when we traveled earlier this month and I took his white noise machine with us too.

Good luck!

I don't know how helpful this is ... but it's possible that the excitement/new environment will tire her out and she might surprise you! We recently got back from a 7 day trip and LO napped/slept better at my MIL's house than she ever does at home! When we were out and about we baby wore and she usually passed out after a while.

Also, another option could be to see if you could purchase some sort of travel crib/PnP there? I have no idea if that's realistic .. but if so, it could work!

LO is 10 months old tomorrow and naps twice a day...but only in her crib. She will fall asleep in carseat and stroller too. But at home, I just place her in her crib and she stands up, plays a little bit, and eventually falls asleep by herself.

My question is, how do I get her to sleep when there's no crib? Are there any methods I can use? We are going to our inlaws in Korea for several weeks and they only sleep on floors so unless at every nap time, I plan to push the stroller around, how do I get her to nap?

Oh I also have ergo and tried both front and back wearing. The front wearing calmed her down a little but didnt put her to sleep. The back wearing made both of us sweat a lot so I stopped.

Help.
