She said there were city wide fiestas, firecrackers, parades. But it may all be tied into the church. </p> <p>I would play Christmas music non-stop and decorate all the tropical trees and bushes around me. Can't get away from music -it is everywhere. We only put up half the lights outside this year and no tree since we're remodeling our office so our formal living is crammed with office stuff everywhere.</p> <p>Therefore, it definitely doesn't feel like it's going to be Christmas next week! This is the first year we had the tree and I think it really makes it feel like the holidays.</p> <p>I would say also all the holiday themed shows also is making it feel warm and cheery. I honestly spend 100% of my time trying not to get or feel sick, so it has been super hard for me! </p> <p>@mrbee: Did you decorate a tree, drink hot cocoa, put on some Christmas songs, maybe make cookies with the kids? It has been hard for me, as I said, because I just don't have the energy! I'm not feeling the spirit either. We went Christmas shopping for the kids and that helped. But we're stuck inside because I went to go shovel my moms driveway and forgot the shovel there and then I couldn't get back in my garage so I parked there and it snowed more last night. I hate snow. I think I'll Ty and convince my husband we should shop more tonight. I feel bad because I feel like this is a big year for the kids in terms of Christmas... they are 4 and 6, and it's really Peak Magic time. So I am trying to rally, but honestly it's not coming naturally... maybe because I'm used to snow and cold, and I recently moved somewhere much warmer. It just doesn't feel like Christmas time to me!</p> <p>Help me out please! What stuff gets you into the holiday spirit... watching movies? Going to the mall? Hanging stockings? I need some inspiration! </p>
