We are less than 20 minutes from the airport and I think it's more expensive to drive and park. LO isn't here yet, but I don't anticipate that changing. I like getting to and from the airport on my time...especially with LO, I wouldn't want to wait around for someone to come pick us up. Before we had LO, my parents have taken us to the airport. My inlaws always assume we will take them to the airport...soooo annoying especially bc they never return the favor and aren't respectful of our time (running late, etc so we are waiting around and rushing)</p> <p>@bluestriped bee: you're in Seattle, right? We park at the Wallypark a few blocks from the airport. It's a nice facility (good security and they have those dividers to decrease the chance of your car getting dinged by other people). It usually ends up being about the same cost as parking our car for however many days. And it's nice to not have to take the shuttle to the car, especially in the winter. Parking offsite adds an extra 30 minutes to our trip. And when we fly at 6am, I don't like to mess around. If we fly out of our local airport, we take a taxi or drive ourselves and park there (cheap parking). If we fly out of Logan airport, we take the bus down to Logan and back. It’s one of those nice tourline buses with comfy seats, free wifi and they show a (usually bad/super cheesy) movie. If we're going to be gone for an extended time we'll try to get family to drive us, but that's not always possible. </p>
