My LO still loves naps even when he doesn't think he does. We just keep our routine really consistent...

DD is 2.5 and doesn't always agree to nap. But I do insist on quiet time. I put on classical music, diffuse a calming blend in her room, and let her have at it with books, Calico Critters and playdoh. I usually read or tidy for a while and if she wants my interaction her choices are either to snuggle or read next to/with me. Otherwise, she's solo in her room.

We usually let the kids nap in the master bedroom, but if she doesn't want to nap... I give her a choice, either 1) Nap with us in the master, or 2) Play quietly by herself, but only in her room. She usually ends up falling asleep anyway! Either while playing on her bed, or on the floor.

He has books, a CD player & toy trucks in his room. We can usually get 1 hr 30 min from him at rest time. He might come out once or twice to ask something or go potty but he does pretty well. We also use the Ok to Wake clock so he knows when he can get up.

If you have a LO that doesn't take a nap, how do you get them to take a decent rest? The only way I've found I can get my 3.5 year old to rest is the phone or TV. And even then I'm lucky to get 30-45 minutes before she is up and ready to play. I guess that's not terrible but I would like her to rest at least an hour each day, she really needs it! So do I....any tips?
