I used to worry a lot about water consumption, because my LO doesn't drink nearly as much or as often as I sometimes think he should, but he doesn't get dehydrated (I check his urine color and occasionally use the skin-depression technique). </p> <p>The only tricks I've used that sort of work are a straw cup and one of those drink dispensers filled with water in an easily-accessible place for him. Be careful with the latter: LO has left the spigot open on occasion! We offer water all day and with a straw because he seems to drink more that way but sometimes he just flat out refuses. The only thing that has been working when we're really desperate is juice but that's not my preferred solution. So tell me your tricks! How do you get your toddler to drink more water? </p>
