@blackbird: @lemondrop: I'm happy to hear that gym daycare worked out for you! My gym offers it, but I've been too nervous to try.

I had a long conversation with my DH last night after I posted this and basically said that I feel like my health isn't a priority right now, and he offered to come home earlier from work and to handle the bedtime routine by himself on class days so I can go - I'm so happy!

I don't anymore. I figured out some ways to exercise that I can do with DD or that work with my new mommy schedule. Basically, I run with the jogging stroller to pick up DD from daycare, and I do a free yoga class over lunch time at work. It's a big difference from my old workout routine, but it works out with my new mommy routine.

Gym daycare! We belong to the YMCA, the childcare is great, they have monitors of the kids on the machines, and they come get me if he is having a bad day.

Gym daycare!!!!! Yessssss. I was taking classes 6 weeks PP and the ONLY way it happened was because they had daycare. I went to the 8:15am class and nearly every time, E was the only one in there. So it was just her and the lady. And if she started crying real bad, I could go calm her down, then go back to the class. I loved it and it was totally fine and no big deal for me. She made sure none of the other kids came up and touched her or messed with her (and she always had socks on and such). She mostly slept in her carrier or was held/rocked. I also did some videos and used the elliptical at home here and there. Better than nothing I figured.

My crossfit gym also has daycare for the 5:00 and 6:00 pm classes, but since DH gets off at 2:30 and we have staggered schedules, it's n/a.

Sadly, I don't have any advice as that is precisely why I hardly ever got to attend classes at the gym. They had a daycare centre there but I was not comfortable leaving LO there (she was 8 months old at the time). She doesn't go to daycare at all and I didn't want the gym to be the place where she was exposed to all those germs. I did manage to go in the early mornings before DH went to work and on the weekends, but that was it. Other than that, I downloaded workout DVDs and did them at home. Hope you can find a better solution!

So before I got pregnant, I used to go to Zumba on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Now that LO is four months and most of my baby weight is still hanging around, I'm really itching to get back to my classes.

The problem is my childcare leaves for the day at 5pm and I don't feel comfortable asking her to stay until 7pm.

So any suggestions on how to make this work? Should I try to find a babysitter for those two hours? Take him to my gym daycare? Any other ideas?
